Hi all, I'm new to this list, and have what is a puzzle to me, about some of my Peters of Anderson/Roane Co's TN. (1) Thomas and Sarah England Peters of Anderson Co TN had a son named Wesley who married Katherine Paul. Wesley and Katherine lived in Morgan Co TN. Wesley died and Katherine moved back to Anderson Co, as she is H/H in Anderson with the following children in 1860. Katherine 40, --Elijah F. 23, --James W. 19,--Sarah J. 17,--Tobitha M. 15, --Mary E. 13,--Reuben D. 10, --Rebecca A 8. Wesley and Katherine also had a son Leander J 21,who was already married to a Nancy D. 19 by this time, and also living in Anderson Co apparently next door, or very close to Katherine. However-----over in Roane Co is-- Catherine Peters 36, --Elijah F. 21, --Wiley 19, --Sarah 14, --Margaret 13, --Dowell 11, --Mary 8, --Rebecca 4 I was wondering IF this Catherine, is the Catherine Lea who married John W. Peters on 26 Jan 1841. IF this is that same Catherine then possibly Elijah was from another marriage, as he was born abt 1839. (2) As I mentioned above, there was a Leander J. Peters, s/o Wesley & Katherine who lived in Morgan and Anderson Co's TN. He and w/ Nancy listed for Anderson Co 1860. HOWEVER---Over in Roane Co is--- Leander Peters 22 (b. 1838) ,--Nancy 22(b. 1838) , another Nancy 16, ----- AND-----Isaac L. Daniel Winchester 29, Sinah N. Wyatt Winchester (wife) 40, Wm.D. 4. These Winchesters are also my directs. For them to be in the same H/H with Leander and Nancy denoted "close kin" I think. Can someone help me straighten these folks out? Thanks nmatt@mindspring.com
