Hi, all, I have been working on my family history off & on since about 1979. I have had modest success with various branches, tracing some back to the 1400s, 1500s, and 1600s. However, the branch that has caused me to pull my hair out the most is the Peters family. I have included my line here, in the hopes that someone here will recognise something. Here's the progression: ________________ Teri (Peters) Sheldon (me); Kenneth Nelson Peters (1915-1986), m. at Methuen, MA, Edna Alice FORREST; Elbridge Oliver Peters (1880-1934), m. at Haverhill, MA, Inez Capitola HARDY; Oliver T. Peters (dates unknown), b. Plymouth, MA, m. at Plymouth, MA, Lydia Francis SEARS. ________________ I believe that Oliver was born in Plymouth, abt 1850-1860. I suspect that Oliver's family would be in Plymouth for more than a few generations, if Lydia's history is any indicator - the Sears family were among the early settlers of Plymouth Colony. Looking forward to helping you with any info that I have, both now and in the future. Thanks in advance for any assistance that you can give me, Teri ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Volunteer of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness at http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnraogk/index.htm Researching the surnames Hardy, Forrest/LaForest, Manley, Perry, Peters, Sears, Sheldon Get your FREE web-based e-mail and newsgroup access at: http://MailAndNews.com and http://MailAndNews.co.uk ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
