Hi, I just joined the list. We're trying to trace the ancestry of George H Peters, born about 1811, possibly in Kentucky. His mother may have been named Barbra Adams, but I don't even recall where I got this. He married Sidda Adams in 1837 in Sangamon County, Illinois. He left his wife and kids and according to one cousin, operated a restaurant for a while in Xenia in Southeastern Illinois until it burned, then moved on to Evansville, Indiana, possibly running another restaurant there. Does any of this mean anything to anyone else on this list? Chuck Clark
