I am very interested in the conversations re PETERS(es) in Butler Co., PA -- then MikieShane@aol.com mentioned Franklin, which is located in Venango Co., PA--and that really got my attention! I have an Ephraim Peters - but his mother was Elizabeth Baer; her husband was Adam Peters from Lehigh Co., PA. I am a direct descendent of Adam--Ephraim--Marvin (bro of Charles)--then CeLestia Peters--then my dad, Harry Hays. Am currently writing my PETERS "book" - would like very much to exchange info! All settled in the Canal Twp., Venango Co., PA -- all are buried in PETERS Cemetery, (off Rte 322 N of Franklin). Sound familiar? Be happy to share what information I have!
