I have seen posts on some of my mailing lists about a program on PBS called "Ancestors". I seem to remember it being on when we were in the process of moving or something, and I didn't really know what it was. Since then, I have really gotten into searching genealogy and would love to see it. Does anyone know of a place that would sell the video? I don't know how to contact PBS. Would it also be out for rent? Thanks for thinking.... :-) Teresa -- "CHOOSE LIFE" (Deuteronomy 30:19,20)
Not sure if you got a response to your email about "Ancestors" but maybe this will help. I just got an email from one of my automatic newsletter sources that indicates the "Ancestors" highly successful PBS series returns in June 2000 with a new format and 13 new episodes shot on location around the world. It highlights records that genealogists use such as newspapers, immigration, military and the census. It goes on to say for information about the companion book and a full list of the new televised segments, see http://www.rootsweb.com/~rwguide/notable/tv.htm. I haven't checked the site out yet, but it does sound interesting! Good luck with your search, Carol ----- Original Message ----- From: "TJ Neill" <tjneill@budget.net> To: <PETERS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 22, 2000 5:50 PM Subject: [PETERS] Ancestors > I have seen posts on some of my mailing lists about a program on PBS > called > "Ancestors".
