As much as this list seems to have fired up in recent weeks, I'm going to toss our frustration out again in the forlorn hope that someone, anyone, can provide a clue. On 6 April, 1837, Sidda Adams married George H Peters in Sangamon County, Illinois. All we know of George Peters is mostly conjecture. He may have been born about 1811 in Kentucky. He is NOT buried in the family plot. He apparently deserted his family after the birth of their last child in 1860. Supposedly he was seen running a diner in Xenia, Illinois. When that burned, he is thought to have moved to Vincennes, Indiana, running another eatery there. ANY fact, hint or even wild conjecture would be more than we have. Thanks for listening. Looking for information a Meester who married Antje Peters. I do not know the Meester who married Antje but SSDI has her last residence as Wellsburg, Grundy, IA and born 15 Oct 1885 and died 15 Jul 1966. Any help would be appreciated. alan :)
