    3. Tunis (New Jer., Va., OH) lineage is Phillip (NJ.), Godfrey (Ger., NY, NJ) , Phillip, (Ger., NY, NJ) , Johan Jost Peter/Petri (Ger), Christ Petri. The origin is Sinn, Ger., which is a town near Fleisbach and Herborn in what was Nassau-Dillenberg but is Hessen. It is still on the map, southern Ger. In this country the name was variously Petters, Peter, Peters, Patters. - Your check arrived today; I will not deposit it until the end of the month when everyone who wishes has ordered. Thank you in advance for sharing. Also, thanks for name of Tunis' mother - how about the father? We go to Richmond, VA tomorrow for an all-day workshop on VA genealogy at the Library of VA, sponsored by the VA Gen. Society. It would help if I had the father's name. I don't think it is Zachariah. There was a Zachariah and I think someone found him and just assumed he was ours. If they'd look at a map of WVA and see the distance between Hampshire and Franklin counties, they might think otherwise. Maybe. I have had the name of Philip sent to me several times as his father. Thanks for your help. We live just an hour from Romney - we hope to get there this summer. Barbara Peters Hagerstown, MD
