They all seemed to have lots of children. We also have several indian women in our line, mostly Cherokee tho. We also believe that James Henry Peters(nick named "John Henry") is on the Dawes & Guion-Miller rolls. But,We haven't been able to tie all this together with paper work. My name is Kenny Peters. The above site shows my family. We found this site by accident & were very pleasantly surprised. I am interested in your new web site. I have been following this obvious PETERS origin debate going on thru the roots web letters. One of the differences in our OWN (here @ home) Geneology research & Carmen Boyd's Pages is that her earliest Abraham Peters, is our Abraham 2nd. WE have an Abraham the 1st as being born in Germany..no date..but married on 9 Feb. 1761, to (unknown) SULZBACK in Germany somewhere. They would be the parents of the Abraham Peters shown on these pages. I don't know how to get any farther back than that. BUT, we have a story that when Abraham the 1st , got off the ship, & there were too many Germans coming in to the us, so he told the Gov't he was Irish. Then, the story goes , he overheard 2 Germans plotting to rob him, & they didn't know he understood them. Anyway he managed to get away before they could rob him. (PS: or it could've been reversed, Irish/German, in the story) So we are not sure if we came from Germany or not. But i just got off the phone with my sister, she said she thought we(Abraham & wife "Sulzback" )may be from Baden, Baden, Germany. How do i research that? After the above Abraham we all agree on the following: Abraham Peters, 2nd. b 28 June 1768 in Pa, d 1842 in TN, married to a Christina(unknown) on 1 Feb 1791 - my ggg-grandfather Abraham Peters, 3rd. b 6 Jan 1810 in Greene Co. TN, d 29 Sept 1870, married Mary Magdalene Ottinger on 21 Oct 1848 - my ggg-grandfather Andrew Conrad Peters, b 23 July 1845 d 25 Feb 1922, married Mary Jane Holt ,on 13 June 1867 - my gg-grandfather James Henry Peters, b 17 Dec 1869 d 2 July 1946, married Mary Elizabeth Laffalette<(may be wrong spelling), on 12 Nov 1893 my g-grandparents Alonzo Leonard Peters , b 15 May 1905 in Pulaski Co. Arkansas,d 10 Feb 1994, married Ruth K. Kyzer, on 14 Feb 1927 (she is in Conway, (Arkansas )Regional hospital as i write this, not expected to be with us more than a month)she is 91. She knew me when i was up there a couple of weeks ago. These are my Grandparents. I don't have anything beyond Abraham Peters 1st. Thanks for any assistance. Would any of this info be of any interest on your website? Thank you very much, Kenny Peters PS: any of this sound familiar to anyone?
