Shirley, I have quite a bit of information on the family of Sarah "Sally" Peters and William Shepherd. Sarah was a sister of my gr.gr.gr.grandfather, John L. Peters and Wm Shepherd was a first cousin to my gr.gr.grandfather, Joe Neeley. It is believed that Sarah and John L. Peters were the children of Henry Peters who was living in Jackson Co., Ala. before 1830. I believe they lived in Sevier Co., TN before going to Jackson Co., Ala., probably as early as 1820. Faye
