    3. Bill - I think we've got 3 separate DEWAR families who all came from that area, all in that time, and settled 3 different parts of what was to be Canada. Yours went to Nova Scotia, another went to Quebec and mine went to Ontario. I keep feeling that if we could just get a little more information about the 1700's in Breadalbane and points around there we would manage to connect all those lines together. Let's keep at it!!! N Scotia: Alexander DEWAR m. <?> M'GREGOR (they likely b. abt 1750) + had a brother Robert + had a son John who went to Nova Scotia in 1803 Quebec : Duncan DOER m. Janet M'Iver (they likely b. abt 1740) + Peter m. Christian STUART, to Chatham, Quebec in 1804 + Duncan m. Catherine BLACK, to St Andrews, Quebec in 1804 + Daniel had a son Daniel in Aberdeen + daughter + Helen m. <?> M'NIE Ontario : Alexander DEWAR m. Janet CARMICHAEL (they born about 1730) + son Archibald (1756-1831) m. Margaret FERGUSON (or GOW?) + kids Jannet, Alexander, Malcolm, John, Peter (1788-1800) + all moved to Ontario in 1818 (from Comrie, sailed from Greenock) Regards - Glen C. Alexander DEWAR and his wife Miss McGREGOR were living in Loch Tay, Breadalbane in the mid to late 1700's. I don't think they belonged to the Church of Scotland. Alexander DEWAR and his wife had one son that I know of. His name was John DEWAR who settled in Nova Scotia abt 1803. Alexander DEWAR also had a brother named Robert DEWAR who was a soldier in the 82nd Regiment. Where should I look? Thanks. Bill White ______________________________
