Hello Could SKS help me. I have a death certificate 1855 in Kinloch Rannoch with the place of birth of Auchline Glendochart. It also states that he was 42 years in Rannoch. On the 1851 census the place of birth is given as Killin Perthshire. I have not been able to find these names anywhere in Perth. Any advice would be appreciated Yvonne Australia

Hi Yvonne, Killin is the furthest west parish of Perthshire with the village of Killin at the west end of Loch Tay. The river Dochart flows into Loch Tay at Killin. The river follows Glen Dochart. Auchlyne is a small village in Glen Dochart about 8 Km, 5 miles, south west of Killin. Kinloch Rannoch is at the east end of Loch Rannoch abour 16 Km, 10 miles, north of Killin.
