    1. [PERTH] James CHALMERS' family, Lethendy & Kinloch and Perth?

    3. Does anyone have access to the 1841 or 1851 census for Lethendy & Kinloch? And if so, I wonder if they would please do me the most huge favour and look to see if they can find my CHALMERS family there? I know that James CHALMERS and Agnes [also known as Ann] ms PARKER presumably married (though I don't know where or when, alas); they had a son, James Williamson CHALMERS, baptized at Lethendy & Kinloch in 1841 - though the Parish Record says he was actually born in Aug 1835. I've hardly been able to discover a thing about James CHALMERS senior and his wife, Agnes/Ann, (despite spending a small fortune on the Scotland's People site!), other than the fact that James senior was supposed to have been a Land Factor, and that he and Agnes/Ann had died before James junior married in Dundee in 1861. So, what I'm fervently hoping to find in the 1841 census is James Chalmers, possibly a Land Factor, plus wife Agnes or Ann, and son James then aged about 6 - and maybe other children I know nothing about (I hope so - gives me more to work on!). In all the censuses from 1881 to 1901 (by which time he was living in Dundee) James Williamson CHALMERS states that he was born in Perth - I assume that the family moved to Lethendy & Kinloch sometime between 1835 and 1841 for James senior's work. Any clues or hints at all would be greatly appreciated! Best wishes, and many thanks, Sue
