    3. Hi all, Thanks you all for your answers to my questions. All the subscibers to this list are wonderful, and have a wealth of knowledge. Lucky me!!! The concensus is that the place is now known as Whitelea, on the Whitelea Road. According to "Slater's Directory of Scotland" 1900, it was farmed by James Adams (Thanks Moira). Ian, in to my question whether Stelitz was prevously known as Whiteley, said that Strelitz was "a hamlet between the Sidlaw Hills and the River Tay, Strelitz lies a mile (1½ km) to the south west of Burrelton and 8 miles north of Perth. It was originally designed in 1763 to house soldiers discharged from fighting at the end of the Third Silesian or Seven Years' War and takes its name from a Prussian town then noted for its manufacture of linen and other fabrics." As it was named in 1763, so it could not known as Whiteley. Eddie gave the address for another map site http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/getamap/. which gives even more detail on the 1:25,000 map and allowed me to locate Whitelea farm. Whitelea farm appears to be on one side of the road, and Strelitz is less than 500 metres along the other side of road. Again, thanks all who helped. Regards, Rhonda
