Can anyone tell me something about Shuttlefield, Perth?. My 4 x ggrandfather. John JOHNSTON, was a shipsmaster of Shuttlefield. He was said to have a brother who looked after the warehouse whilst John traded with Spain. Said to have a Spanish bride but I have not managed to find anything about that so far. His daughter, Elizabeth, widow of James Wilkie, emigrated to New Zealand, arr. there 17 March, 1841, from Perth with her daughter, Mary, Mary's husband, John Watterson, and their children. In my gt. uncle's hall at the beginning of the20th century, was a portrait of a Spanish lady. Thanks in advance. Iiris from Auckland, New Zealand
