I am working on a book of Scottish holiday traditions for my family, especially my 80 year old mother and 85 year old father. Both of them seem to dwell on their lives in Scotland, which we left in the early 1960's. I know you are all probably tired of writing about things you do for Christmas, but I'm wondering if you could share with me some unusual traditions you might have. For instance, I took pictures of my ancestors and cut them out. I then cut balls from card stock (stiff paper) and glued the picture to the cardstock, which was red or green. On the back I wrote a little something about each family member, such as where they were born etc and then punched a hole in the top and strung ribbon through it. I then hung them on our Xmas tree.
