[Reply to your Robertson message] Kaye--- Merry Christmas! Have you got a Thomas ROBERTSON in your Robertson line, m. 29 Aug 1818 in Scone, Perths., to a Margaret AITKIN? That's my family line. Scottish archives online show only two children from this marriage: Robert, b. Forteviot 1826 (my g-grandfather), and Janet, b. Forteviot 1830 (no issue). I have a hunch that some other wee Robertsons may have been born between 1818 and 1826. Few people, at least in the 19th century, waited eight years for their first-born! Also, I would love to know where this Thomas Robertson came from. Archives in Scone and Forteviot are mute. I imagine he was born about 1795, give or take. But where? And, since Aitkin is a less common surname, might I find some resources in and around Scone for her family? Where does this branch of Aitkin originate? Their son Robert married into a Drummond family from Muthill, and I won't bore you; I have all that and the subsequent Drummond, and Comrie relatives from Comrie, well documented. See Ancestry World Trees, under Robert Robertson, b. 1826 Forteviot. I'm specifically looking for Thomas Robertson and Margaret Aitkin (my g-g grandparents) in or around Scone in 1818. Do you or does anyone have some clues? Many thanks in advance, and again, a very Happy Christmas to all! ---Bob (Robert Drummond) Robertson Napa Valley, California
