Thank you to Ian McD, Alistair B, and Alan T (who, in an earlier inquiry helped me find the starting point for my Taitt/Robertson Perthshire ancestors). I went on the Pitlochry family history website that I was provided and found the parish map. I also found my gggg-grandfather, Robert Tait, listed in the Logierait burials for 1790! What an unexpected find. 1. Robert was listed as living in "Balnaguard". Any info on that place name would be appreciated. Would there possibly be gravestones in a cemetery? 2. Is anyone able to tell me the basics on the Pitlochry vs. the Tay Valley family history groups, especially given the parishes that I seem to be connected to at this point? 3. Recommendations on books, etc on the history and people of these areas of Perthshire (that I can access from the USA) would be greatly appreciated. (I found the Statistical Accounts on-line.) I am attaching the basic information that I have re: my Tait/Taitt and Robertson ancestors in the event someone recognizes names/places. I would like to find familial ties.
