    2. I am heading up to the Fergus Highland Games and search the Ontario Cemetery Finder as well as the County Historical Atlas. Mine are mainly from Wellington County so will head for that archive but also plan to hit the Ontario Archive. Do you have any needs from either location? It will be sometime in August. He was a shawl weaver in Scot., and came to Canada in 1849, stopping a few months in Dundas. As he could not find work at his trade he bought 100 acres, lot 13, con. 6, W. Flamboro, and later moved to Burlington, where he died. He was School Trustee for some years in Flamboro, and was a Pres. And a Liberal. He m. Ellen Nichol in 1832. The only one of the family in the country is James, who came to Puslinch in 1877, and bought the Beattie homestead, of 100 acres, front lot, con. 8, on which Wm. Thompson was the first settler, and has since lived on it. He was Trustee S. S. No. 4 for some time. He is an Independent in politics, voting for the best man. He m. Elizabeth Galloway, of East Flamboro. Issue: Mrs. Isaac Patterson, Toledo, Ohio; John, expert machinist, Waterloo; Mrs. (Rev) R.V. Bingham, of Christian Workers and Secy. of the African Industrial Mission; Frederick, in the civil service, Ottawa; William, working the farm and Clarence and George, who run the general store at Aberfoyle. The firm is also in George and Clarence's name.
