Hi Jane My gggrandmother, Mary Wilkie, married John Watterson 11 Dec 1826 at Perth, and in 1841 emigrated to New Zealand with their family and Mary's mother, Elizabeth Wilkie, widow of James Wilkie. Mary's brother, George Wilkie, married Ann Taylor 20 May 1825 in East Church Parish of Perth. They also emigrated to New Zealand in the early 1840s. After Ann's death, George went to Newburgh, Fife, SCT, and married Jane Wallace on 20 July 1863. Do you think there is any connection with your Wilkie and Taylor families?
