Hello List, I found a marriage today for John STEWART and Katherine STEWART January 1790 in Fowlis Wester. John was of this parish and Katherine was of the parish of Don? (Dull) Our Duncan STEWART born about 1800 gives Crieff and Fortingall as birth places on 2 different census. On his death certifcate in Alloa the parents are given as John Stewart and Catherine -------. We do not know if this indicates her name was Stewart or the informant did not know. On the 1841 census Duncan is living in Crieff. Does anyone have Stewarts from Fowlis Wester who may recognize these Stewarts?? We can go no further until we can prove Duncan's parents. Thank you.
