    3. Hi Holly, One of the names I am researching is BRYDIE in the Auchterarder/Blackford area. I have been in contact with another researcher who believes we are researching the same family, but no conclusive proof at this stage. In her line she has Margaret Brydie bap. 7 August 1754 Blairsaik(?), Blackford, PER; she married 10 December 1775 James HERDMAN (of Trinity Gask) in Blackford, PER. They are both buried in Trinity Gask churchyard where the MI says James was a "farmer at Borestone, afterwards at Stony Fold where he died the 20th April 1803 aged 63". My correspondent lists the known children as follows : i) Un-named female infant chr. 17 Nov 1776 (Elspet?) ii) Catherine chr. 9 Jun 1782 Trinity Gask; m. c1799 Stirling(?) William LAING iii) James chr. 23 May 1784 iv) Andrew chr. 21 May 1786 v) un-named infant chr. 31 Oct 1790 vi) Ann chr. 27 Mar 1796 The above mentioned MI also says that "three of their children are interred here two of whom died in early life and Elisabeth who died in the beginning of January 1808 aged 19 Also Janet who was interred at Perth January 1837 and Margaret at Edinburgh on 20th January 1848" The reverse of the MI says : James Herdman Junr who died 11th Feb 1861 aged 76 also Andrew Herdman who died 7th April 1861 aged 71 Anne Herdman died Jan ?? aged 22 years Isabell Herdman died ?? ?? aged 86 years Because this is not my family, I cannot confirm the research nor can I add anything more. It doesn't seem to tie in to your Herdman family at this stage but you may wish to keep it on file in case of a later connection.
