I am always jumping at straws when it comes to my Smiths in Scotland. I can only go back to James Smith born about 1788 in Perthshire. His wife was Helen Munro, born June 15, 1794 in Rattray, Perthshire. Their children were: Robert, Ann, James, William and John. They all seemed to end up in Iowa, but came at different times.
