Most likely the Perthshire Advertiser or the Dundee Courier. The Courier is a daily paper, but the PA is (I think) twice a week. The Scotsman is really an Edinburgh paper, although it has a wide readership. The PA now has on-line announcements, which are searchable, but they don't go back more than a few years.
