My gggfather Alexander CUMMING born 25 Dec 1809 at Milton of Strathbran, Little Dunkeld married Elizabeth KINLOCH on 15 Dec 1839 at Fowlis Wester. Elizabeth was born 21 Oct 1821 at Methven 21 Oct 1821, dau of John and Christina (nee Sword) of Methven. Alexanders' parents were John and Jean (nee Stiven) of Crieff?. Two offspring of Alexr and Elizabeth died young, and the rest (10) shifted to NZ in approx.1870. The earlier maternal Methven born relatives were: John Gorrie b.1720, Janet and Elizabeth Gorrie both b. 1745. Does anyone have any information of any of these families, especially the earlier paternal relatives of the Cumming or Stiven families, otherwise I'm lost for where I can look.
