Hi, Your next item, would he to see if he survived past 1855 & buy his death certificate, where, hopefully, the informant knew Peter's parent's names. This is your next line of proof. Bonnie B. Subject: Re: 1851 Census Indices held Thanks Heather! This is my Small's. How can I get more information from this index you reference? From my records I show Peter is within two years of 67 in 1851. His second wife was Isabel Rattray and from what I have they had three daughters, one of which was Isabella Rattray Small. His son (via Betty Rodgers) is William Small who was born in Longforgan on 02 Mar 1819. He was christened on 04 Apr 1819 at Long Gorgan, Perthshire, Scotland. This is my direct line. Now, I need further information regarding Patrick Peter Small and his ancestry... anyone have any advice, connection, or help? Thanks, Bonnie. My records indicate he died 28 Dec 1866, so I've got a shot. Where would I buy his death certificate?
