All this talk about hammertoes and squint pinkies. May I add to the questioning with another potential genetic connection? I make this comment as a very much tongue in cheek remark !! My wife Margaret (a Henderson from Morayshire) and two of our children can roll up the sides of their tongues. Me - an Allan from Perth and our other two children cannot do this. Is this skill in rolling up of the tongues something which is passed on through the genes? You either have it or you don't. I must check this out with my grandchildren, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law to see what they have inherited. You don't believe me and think this is rubbish? Try it yourself and compare with other members of your family. Slainte Lawrence Allan Tain, Ross-shire
Hello All Yes "tongue curling" is one of the genetic factors referred to in basic psychology lecturers when it is explained that a person is a "product" of their "hereditary and environmental factors".
