Does anyone 'own' William McIntosh and Susan McBeath? This couple married in 1839 in Blair Atholl. They had at least 9 children, I think: Archibald 1841, Margaret 1843, Barbara 1845, William 1847, Janet 1850, Alexander 1854, Susan 1856, Duncan 1858, Donald 1865. Susan McBeath/McIntosh died in 1873 at Blair Atholl, and William re-married in 1880 (Isabella Conachie). William died aged 66 in 1886. He was described as the Guide to the Pass of Killiecrankie. His parents were named as Peter McIntosh and Margaret Sinclair. I cannot find his birth (OPR or IGI). His parents may have married in Edinburgh in 1815 (the only match I could find). It is highly likely that their daughter Barbara McIntosh accompanied my gg grandparents to New Zealand in 1859. She was described as a 'niece', but this cannot be strictly accurate. She could be a great-niece, though. Does anyone match with this family? Thanks. Cathie Shaw
