    3. Hi, Kay and Peggy, I'm also researching McNaughtans in Glenlyon. I don't know if we've compared notes in the past or not. My interest is in Catharine (various spellings), born 1777 in Milton Eonan, daughter of John MacNachtan and Elisabeth (Elspeth) MacNachtane. John, in addition to being a miller, apparently farmed in various places in Glenlyon over the years. To the best of my knowledge, Catharine's siblings were: Christian, 1763; Robert, 1765; Unnamed, 1772; John 1774; Donald, 1781; Elisabeth, 1783 (she may have been the Elisabeth MacNaughtan who married John MacCallum and had a son named Donald MacCallum, who married his cousin, Catherine Menzies [below]). Catharine MacNaughtan married James Menzies; they had: Archibald, Robert, John, Duncan, Alexander, Christian, Catherine (see above), Alexander, Stewart. If anyone has any interest in these people, do let me know, and we can compare notes. Duncan MacNaughton, who was the genealogist of the MacNaughton clan, told me many years ago that the John and Elisabeth of Milton Eonan were from the famed "White Horse MacNaughton" family, but I've never seen any primary source proof.
