Hello again! In this message I am searching descendants of Mary Ann MELVILLE. She is the sister of Isabella MELVILLE mentioned in Digest #172. Mary Ann MELVILLE was b. 1834, Rattray, to parents Charles MELVILLE and Mary DUFFUS. Mary Ann married William Kilgour ROBERTSON in Rattray in 1858. Mary Ann MELVILLE and William Kilgour ROBERTSON had ten children that I know of. The first two were born in Coupar Angus and the remaining were born in Blairgowrie. The children: Mary DUFFUS ROBERTSON, 1859; Julia SHAW ROBERTSON, 1860; William ROBERTSON, 1862; Alexander ROBERTSON, 1864; Catherine CATTNACH ROBERTSON, 1866; Agnes FARQUHARSON ROBERTSON, 1867; baby ROBERTSON, 1869; Charles MELVILLE ROBERTSON, 1871; Robina ROBERTSON, 1873; George ROBERTSON, 1874. In the Blairgowrie Census of 1891 and 1901 this family is listed as bakers. They were located on High Street. My connection to Mary Ann ROBERTSON (nee MELVILLE) is through the DUFFUS line. Within the past five years I had the vandalized burial stone of Charles MELVILLE and Mary DUFFUS repaired and righted. Nothing would please me more than to receive information regarding this family.
