Can someone help with my queries about the occupation of a "carrier" travelling from Crainlarich (Perthshire) to Glasgow during the early 1800's. (a) Would a covered wagon drawn by horses have been used, or something like a stagecoach? (b) Would there be any directories showing details of carriers on this route for those early years. Any information would be appreciated.
