    3. Hi Douglas Forgandenny was only a small place in the 1800's it would seem, though the parish may well have been spread out. There was a family of Huttons there, that is certain, although actual relationships seem at this stage to be unclear. Whether it was an extended family or not is also unclear. Peter agrees with me that a Robert Hutton and Grissel Duff married in Forgandenny on 3 November 1826 and had nine children, the third one was Janet born 17 January 1830. IGI has an excellent coverage of the parish but there is no record of Robert Hutton being baptised there. I found some of the 1841 census on the internet transcribed by Alexander Romanov Hughes. He is doing a wonderful job, but has not covered all of it yet, part of what he is doing is still in preparation. Thank you Alexander your efforts are really appreciated. Where the following places are I am not sure as I do not know Perthshire and my more modern, somewhat extensive map, although from the 1960's does not show them. In the coverage we have there are Huttons as follows: Parish of Arngansk, enumeration district 1 Duncrivie William Hutton, aged 65 of independent means, not born in this Parish Janet Hutton, aged 60, not born in this Parish Parish of Portmoak Westhen House Enumeration district 1 Janet Hutton. aged 25, female servant (in the home of David and John Deas). She was not born in the county Enumeration district 2 Johnstown Andrew Hutton aged 35, agricultural labourer, born in county Elizabeth Hutton, aged 25, born in the county Isabella Hutton, aged 7, born in the county Elizabeth Hutton, aged 5, born in the county Jean Hutton, aged 3, born in the county Janet Hutton, aged 1, born in the county. As you can see there are several Janets to choose from!!!!! There are several of us looking for Huttons in the Forgandenny/Kinross area, many eyes might find a connection! Best wishes Mary in West Oz _________________________________________________________________ E-mail just got a whole lot better. New ninemsn Premium.
