Dear Listers, I am trying to find out if there is any connection between my family and the 'Pullars of Perth Dyers & Cleaners' As a child I recall my mother saying that she was related to them. Here is what I have so far : Grandparents; Roger Johnson & Ellen Pullar ....Lancashire. GG: John Pullar (Perth) Mary Langlands GGG: Thomas Pullar (Perth) Catherine Scott. Married at Perth 1802 They had Seven Children....... Sarah,George,Christian, Janet,Mary,John, Thomas. If anyone can make any connection I would lve to hear from you. I have no relationship to the Pullars, but just in case it is of interest to you or others on the list, he are a couple of sentences from a diary kept by my great-grandfather, Andrew McLaren Young in the summer of 1865 "... Spent the afternoon at Straitbraes, (Mr. W Pullars, Mrs. P. Catherine, Agnes, Patrick, Amelia) Mary Kirk ph, Kirkton Hill est. (Geo Taylor); lease out 1866...." and "...Thurs., June 15. - Went with the young Pullars of Straitbraes to see Den Finella [?]. Evening - met Rev. Mr. Swan at Marykirk...."
