Hello All At last took the time this weekend to do some research at "Scotlandspeople" and thought I had found a connection when I found the marriage of Robert MITCHELL and Isabella CLARK in Montrose in 1878. However,I checked information supplied some years ago by an aunt who wrote as follows:- "ROBERTSON - SIDE Great great grandfather came from Blairgowrie,Perthshire,to Dundee, was a master baker.Had a baker shop in Blairgowrie and then one in the Overport,Dundee. G.g.grandmother was a Margaret Mitchell(died 75 yrs) - She had a sister - Mary Anne - unmarried, died when over 80.Also another sister Ann who died aged 15yrs. On Mitchell side - several members of the family emigrated to America - lost touch. You have 2nd cousin Lena (Mitchell) Nairn and Margaret (Mitchell) Ritchie.Lena lives in Arbroath and Margaret nr Montrose. On g.g.grandfather's side said to have come from Balqhuider/Struan area.Ancestor burried a few graves from Rob Roy MacGregor at Balqhuider." I believe I recall someone else on this list having a similar/same claim within the last few months. Please contact me if you see any connection. Douglas
