Hi Listers, Can somebody out there please assist me to transcribe the following Monumental Inscription which is in the Moulin churchyard and appears to belong to my FORBES family from Moulin [Falling stone] 1818 [0r 1813] clodh:bhuailt le Seamas agus Eoin FORBIES agus Ma FARQUHARSON ann{?] R: thighearn MDCCCDVIII. Hic lapis erectus est Jacobo FORBOSEO An. Dom. MDCCCXVIII [at top between 18 and 18 of date, sun credely depicted as face; at bottom two pairs of concentric circles; on back large circle, checkered]. One transcription I have received has in brackets [by Jas & John Forbes & Ma Farqueharson, Jas F....1816] Any assistance would be much appreciated - as you can see I am no linguist!!
