Hello All Spending the day online with "Scotlandspeople" trying to confirm family over late 1700's to early 1800's. For some years I have been looking for the "SHARP" in Margaret Sharp CLARK b 31/5/1867.I believe she is the granddaughter of David CLARK and Margaret TAYLOR m.18/07/1823 in Findogask. Their first child,James ,was born a month later on 23 Aug 1823 in Auchterarder.I believe I have located Margaret's parents as being John TAYLOR and Isabel SHARP of Auchterarder.Margaret was born 13 Feb 1803.All this now ties in comfortably with the 1881 census where Margaret(78) b Auchterarder,is living with her daughter Isabella(50) in Shuttlefield,Newburgh ,Fife. However I was previously led to believe something slightly different from someone researching TAYLOR when they said Margaret's parents were Thomas Taylor and Helen Kinnis from Moneydie and David's parents were Alexander CLARK and Lillas MILLER of Fowlis Easter. I am sure everyone is confused enough by now but I have one question - where is Kirkcaldy? This will assist me with the 1798 marriage between an Alexander CLARK and Jean SHARP. Public holiday here tomorrow so I intend using up the rest of my credits. Douglas Clark
