I have recently found a Janet MacROBIE (McRobbie, etc) on my line. Thomas SOUTAR, a merchant in Perth, married Janet MacROBIE in 1807 (his second marriage; first was Janet WHYTE). They had: James, 1808; John, 1811; Alexander, 1813. I think Janet MacROBIE was born in 1765, daughter of John McROBIE and Jannet MILLAR. A bit old, but still possible. Sheila in Missouri, I have a record of unknown origin that has John McRobbie marrying Janet Millar and siring Margaret1750, James1752, John1754, Mary1757, Alexander1760. Your Janet1765 may be a later child? Her children's names fit the family. Thanks for the intriguing find!
