For those with the McRobbie interest, I have found that Janet McRobbie, wife of Duncan Taylor, was the daughter of William McRobbie and Helen Gibson. William McRobbie, married Helen Gibson on the 31st of December 1747, Blackford, Perthshire. They had issue: 1 James McRobbie, Christened on the 3rd of December, 1749; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 2 Jannet McRobbie, Christened on the 28th of April, 1751; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland. She married Duncan Taylor on the 3rd of March 1775, in Blackford, Perthshire. She died on the 24th of April 1809, Duncan died sometime later. 3 Mary McRobbie, Christened on the 13th of March, 1753; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 4 Helen McRobbie, Christened on the 30th of March, 1755; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 5 Elizabeth McRobbie, Christened on the 29th of January, 1757; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 6 John McRobbie, Christened on the 31st of January, 1762; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 7 William McRobbie, Christened on the 8th of February, 1767; Blackford, Perth, Scotland 8 Peter McRobbie, Christened on the 12th of June, 1769; in Blackford, Perth, Scotland 9 Jean McRobbie, born 1771, in Blackford, Perth, Scotland I hope this may interest someone, or that someone might have further information on this family.
