    3. Janet I should clarify: the Stewarts of Garth are not related to the Stewarts of Balquhidder. My expertise is in the latter. I know little of the Stewarts of Garth and am not studying them. We simply stumbled upon a large Garth resource which we thought would be helpful to share with others, even though it's not related to our Stewarts. So I cannot make any competent response to anything related to the Stewarts of Garth beyond superficial knowledge. As to your letter below, all I can say is that it mentions Breadalbane and Garth, therefore would appear to connect to the Garth area and any Stewarts mentioned therein, including the specifically mentioned Mr. Stewart of Garth Jr (who I'm guessing would be Maj. Gen. David Stewart of Garth) would appear to connect to Garth. I see nothing in the letter that would infer any relationship to the Stewarts of Balquhidder. I hope that answers your question.
