    3. It has always been Janet = Jane = Jean = Jessie I've been researching in Scotland for over 30 years & have seen examples of this in Parish, Census & other records.     3. Don't forget the occasional Nettie! The Gaelic form of Janet is also Seonaid (pronounced Shon-ij).
