    3. I checked the Scottish Church Records and there are no Betsy Findlays. There are a great number of Elizabeth/Elspet Findlays but only one in 1823, and she is christened in Elgin, Moray, Scotland. I checked for ten years on each side of 1823 and couldn't find any born in Cortachy, Angus. I would be checking her marriage record first to see the name of the father. 1. [PERTHSHIRE] Episcopal Records for Balquhidder, Comrie, Callander, Kilmadock

    3. Hello Group, Does anyone know if there was any Episcopal congregation in the area of Balquhidder, Comrie, Callander or Kilmadock parishes during the latter 18th century and throughout the 19th century? I know there is an Episcopal church near Edinample that dates to the early 20th century. And the OPR for Callander contains a listing of Episcopal baptisms from within its bounds for the mid-18th century. But we can find no record of any Episcopal presence in-between. Did the Episcopal community simply disappear and then reappear 150 years later or was there some continuing presence elsewhere? If so, does anyone know if any of its BMD records survive? Thanks for any help. Ryk Brown Stewarts of Balquhidder Research Group
