    3. Glen Turret lies in Monzievaird (now Monzie) Parish just outside the town of Crieff. One of my great uncles was killed in a lightning strike in the Turret Burn before it was dammed creating Loch Turret. The old Murray hunting lodge lies submerged beneath the surface. of Loch Turret. Loch Turret is the source of fresh water to Crieff. Burns, whilst at of the Murrays at Ochtertyre House, wrote his beautiful poem to water fowl along its banks. I will be staying very close to it next week! :-) Peter On 9/20/2010 3:01 AM, perthshire-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Location of Glenturret (George F. Sanborn Jr.) > 2.
