    3. Good orning listers, Many thanks to all for the interesting information about Glenturret and the MacDiarmids. For those who may be interested, the Lucy MacDiarmid whom I have mentioned, as well as several contemporaries who were perhaps brothers or other close relatives, emigrated over a period of years between the 1820s to the early 1840s to Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada. Lucy and her husband and children settled in the Egerton District, later called Middle River and now Rocklin. Hugh, John, Archibald, Ewen, and perhaps others of the surname MacDiarmid settled at Barney's River, Pictou County. Some, at least, seem to be buried in Kenzieville Cemetery near Barney's River, with at least one thin branch of the descendants moving to Minnesota, U.S.A., at an early date. It is thought that at least one of the above came from Fortingall. I am not really carrying on a search of the MacDiarmids, but am seeking to document Lucy MacDiarmid and hope to learn her parents' names. (Lucy appears as Louisa in some records.) I mention all this in case it is of interest or use to MacDiarmid researchers. George Sanborn Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
