The Survey of Lochtayside, 1769, edited with an introduction by Margaret M. McArthur, was published by the SCOTTISH HISTORY SOCIETY (not the Scottish historical society), and it was published by them in 1936 (not 1836), as part of its third series. I believe it is currently out of print. The Society is the major publisher of manuscript sources for Scottish history, and all major libraries (including Toronto Public Library) should have a set.
