I was trying to get across that the available records for the family in question were no different on either source. But whether I said the records on IGI are the same as Scotland's People or there are no additional records on Scotland's People to those on IGI, it was going to sound wrong. On your other comment, I think the changes to IGI were done by a techo rather than a genealogist and show an appalling lack of understanding of search requirements. Inability to search by batch number is just another example. I was using the new site looking for a birth in Lancashire c1850 and even with exact matches it gave an entry from 1975 in Cleveland Ohio.
