Hi list, My surnames are Perkins, Tillinghast, Preston, Bliven, Brown, Sherry and Gorton from RI and CT. My brick walls are Youngs Perkins from Lyme, CT. The son of James and Mary (Morgan) Perkins baptized Groton, Ct July 3,1757. Youngs was recorded in Lyme land records 1797. Also in Groton records1820. I found that Mary , wife of Youngs Perkins, died Jan. 28, 1807 in her 49th yr. she is buried in the East Lyme Old Stone Church Cemetery. I have Hannah Perkins, daughter of Youngs and Mary Perkins, died Oct. 17, 1852, age 61 yr & 5mo. She is buried in the Poquetanuck Cemetery in Preston, CT. James Perkins born abt.1776 Groton, CT. James died 1869 in New York.His wife was Deborah (Davis) also from Groton, Ct area, died in NY. Could this be a son of Youngs Perkins? James and Deborah had a son Noyes Perkins, my gggreat grandfather. Noyes married Caroline (Gard) and they lived in Groton, CT.
