Kellie: My Perkins ancestors came from Wilkes Co., N.C. to Green, Adair and Whayne Counties, Ky. in 1800 Thomas Perkins and Lucinda (Riley) Perkins arrived with Peter Perkins, Thomas, Simeon, William, Richard, Edward and Rebecca. Peter and Edward left to go back to N.C. in 1812 but the rest stayed. Peter had 16 children among whom was a Jefferson Perkins. They settled in Jellico, Campbell Co., Tn. just below Williamsburg, Whitley Co., Ky. We believe Thomas and Lucinda Perkins died in Adair Co., Ky. but never found the graves. Could any of these be your ancestors?
