North Carolina? Any relation to William H. Perkins (b. 1820), of Pitt County? My cousin, Cy Perkins, of Lake City Florida found and restored the George G. Perkins cemetary, which included headstones for Lemuel Perkins and his wife, Elizabeth Grimes.
