    2. Am looking for any information on John Perkins who was born 1817 in PA/WV. His oldest son was Robert A. Perkins and there is a Robert Perkins who married a Smith in Washington County, PA. I do not know if this is his parents but would like to either accept them or rule them out. Any information on them would be appreciated. William moved to Linn County, IA in the 1840's along with John. William died there in 1902. He said in a bio that he was born in Wheeling West Virginia. Has anyone info on this family who I believe is a brother to John. John also married a Forsythe (Christina) in Linn county about 1848. He then married Tirza Ide in Monroe county Michigan in 1855. Again any info would be appreciated. Jackie Perkins-Horton Silverdale, WA

    3. I understand, through our family history, one of the first into Greenbrier, Va. / WV was a John Perkins. It was suppose to be some time in that time frame [late 1700's early 1800's] My family finally settled in the Summersville [Nicholas County] WV area. Good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jfhort@aol.com> To: <PERKINS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 08, 2005 11:25 AM Subject: [PERKINS] John and William areas IA, MN, WI, PA, WV, MD 1800-to present > Am looking for any information on John Perkins who was born 1817 in > PA/WV. > His oldest son was Robert A.
