Dear Chris: There is also a William Perkin, b.1738. St. Ives, Cornwall whose father is John Perkin. I don't know if you're aware of him. I was interested because I have a DNA match with a William Perkins, b.1738, New Haven, Conn...(a different surname than mine) and no one knows his parentage. Since my Norman ancestors are from Cornwall I thought perhaps there had been an adoption because of the DNA match so I was investigating Cornwall, and came up with this William. Peace! Kathryn E.
