I haven't been able to trace my Perkins (for sure) further than those appearing in Louisiana. Lucille
Lucille: Do you know a male with the Perkins name in your line? He could test with the Parkins and Perkins Y DNA study to see which Perkins line he matchs. I know there is someone from the line of Edward Perkins of New Haven CT in Louisiana, but he has not joined the study. http://familytreedna.com/public/Parkins-Perkins/ Regards, Steven C. perkins On 4/20/06, robi4711@bellsouth.net <robi4711@bellsouth.net> wrote: > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "mary bishop" <mbishop@kih.net> > Subject: Re: [PERKINS] Re: William Perkins > > > > Are you looking for the issues of Perkins Press. There are 22 volumes of work by a lot of differemy Perkins families put tofether Quarterly each year They are not published any more. Maybe some one that has bublishing knowledge could get them started again.. I would gladly help with it to get it started again,, They were $5.00 per issue It was really a great help to me as I have two Perkins lines. I am the gr.gr.gr.gr. grandaughter of Edward Perkins The first I found on him was in Sullivan County Tennessee 1791 with his wife Susannah --------, and their children, Thomas, Elizabeth, Elijah, Edmond and Eleanor , Jane. They left Sullivan County and came to Bath & Fleming County Kentucky.. with my gr.gr.gr grandfather was Elijah Perkins and Celia Denton Perkins My next line is through Richard Perkins of North Carolina His granddaughter Mary Perkins married a Lowrence and their daughter Margarte married My gr.gr.gr.gr grandfather Col. Jonathan Hunt of North Carolina. She was his fourth wife. If anyone has either of these families please let me know. mary mbishop@kih.net ----- Original Message ----- From: <robi4711@bellsouth.net> To: <PERKINS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 9:37 AM Subject: Re: [PERKINS] Re: William Perkins > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "mary bishop" <mbishop@kih.net> > Subject: Re: [PERKINS] Re: William Perkins > > > > Are you looking for the issues of Perkins Press.
